Mark Weber

Flight 3407 crashed near Mark Weber’s house in Clarence, New York, killing all on board as well as one man on the ground in his house, which the plane obliterated.  As a singer-songwriter, Mark felt compelled to write “3407” for himself and all those who grieved this awful tragedy. He enlisted the help of trumpeter Dave Rydelnik from Albany, singer Felicia Meyer of the Celtic duo Kindred, and singer/guitarist Joe Secchiaroli of The Reign of Kindo when producing the song professionally. Here are the lyrics of “3407”…

It’s a February morning/the rain turns into snow/I’m driving down the highway/ten miles from Buffalo
As I roll down my window/the smoke is in the air/I can’t believe what happened/ the house no longer there

Those who died last night, on 3407, are looking down on us from heaven/ I cannot believe this tragedy/It could have been you or me/Cry a tear, for what happened here, 3407

It’s a February morning/the fire trucks have gone/I’m standing at the crash site/the sun still shines at dawn/As I lay down my roses/sweet fragrance fills the air/And I know that I can go on, past the pain, the despair

Those who died last night, on 3407, are looking down on us from heaven/ I cannot believe this tragedy/It could have been you or me/Cry a tear, for what happened here, 3407…

Mark got letters about this song, including this one:

My brother Brian Kuklewicz was on the plane that nite. It was a nite
I will never forget. When I see things that have to do with flight 3407 I have to buy them and when I noticed your website on facebook and seen you wrote a song I just had to buy it and the song is exactly how the nite happened and its beautiful it means alot to me to never forget what happened to my sweet brother.
          Thank You,
